Principal's Message

Mrs. Carbonell's Monthly Message

Welcome back!  We hope you had a restful, and fun summer break!  It is time to get going with school, however.  This school year we are really going to focus on student attendance.  Attendance is important because students are more likely to succeed in academics when they attend school consistently. It's difficult for the teacher and the class to build their skills and progress if a large number of students are frequently absent.

Arrival and Dismissal Times

ARRIVAL: Please note that students should not be coming to the school before 8:10 AM. We have NO supervision on the playground until that time. Breakfast is served in the cafeteria beginning at 8:00AM, and ends at 8:25AM.  Our food service workers are on a tight schedule.  If you want your child to have breakfast at school, it is your responsibility to get her/him to school before 8:25AM.

DISSMISSAL is at 3:00PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for students in  1st—5th grades.  WEDNESDAY IS EARLY RELEASE DAY - ALL STUDENTS K-5 ARE DISMISSED AT 1:30 PM.  Students must know how they are getting home at the end of the day before the start of school.  Students waiting for rides may wait on our front porch or on the lawn on Daniels Street. Students should not be on the playground after school unless supervised by a parent or caregiver.  Bus riders must line up on the porch.  OUR OFFICE CLOSES PROMPTLY AT 4PM.
