Mrs. Orpilla

My name is Nancy Orpilla and I am a second grade teacher at Federal Terrace Elementary.  I am excited to begin my second year here.  My previous teaching experience was at Richmond College Prep Elementary in Richmond.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo and worked for many years as a Certified Public Accountant.  Later I earned my Teaching Credential from CalStateTEACH and never once have I regretted my decision to make a big career change.  I come from a family of educators and greatly enjoy working and learning with our students.

I grew up on the Central Coast (San Luis Obispo), lived in Southern California for several years and moved to Solano County in 1997.  I live in Vallejo with my husband Mel, daughter Justine (9th grade), son Gabe (6th grade), our dogs Gracie, Mia, and Chiko, and our chickens Batman, Robin, and Oreo.  Life is very busy for our little family with our work, school, sports, remodeling our 1930’s home, and taking care of our pets.

I am very much looking forward to being your child’s teacher this year and being a part of the Federal Terrace family.   I can be reached at norpilla@vallejo.k12.ca.us or (707) 556-8460.
